Hello Everyone! You should have all received the email from the school today about the two Christmas Events put on by the performing arts department on the 12th and 13th. I've attached a copy below in case you missed it. PAPA will be supporting these events and we need your help!
Christmas Hamper Donations PAPA is organizing the Christmas Hamper raffle for the Concert on the 12th and we’re hoping to have 3 amazing hampers to raffle but WE NEED YOU. If everyone who has a child participating in the performing arts would donate something, even a very small something, we can make it happen. It could be a bottle of wine, a chocolate bar, something re-gifted, a candle, mince pies, the possibilities are endless. Just send it into Reception at the school and label it PAPA by next Friday, 8th of December. Thank you. Volunteers We also need a few volunteers to help us at the two Christmas events. No special skill required, just a willingness to serve wine and mince pies and spread holiday cheer! If you can help at the Christmas Concert on the 12th or the 13th, let me know. Thank you! here to edit. Calling all student singers, dancers, poets, musicians, magicians, actors, and other entertainers!4/9/2017 The Dance Team, under Ms Richards, are performing at the Rose Theatre in Kingston on Wednesday 12th July, 7:30PM. They will be performing alongside other Elmbridge dance teams as part of the International Youth Arts Festival and the Elmbridge Dance Showcase.
The Elmbridge Dance Showcase is an exhilarating mix of forms including Tap, Street Dance, Ballet and Contemporary (with a bit of musical theatre mixed in too). The young and talented dancers will thrill and amaze with their passion and panache. Tickets can be purchased through the International Youth Arts Festival Website. On the 17th of June, we had our first ever big fundraiser for the Performing Arts at Esher High and raised an impressive £1,750! Many teachers, parents and friends braved the heat to come out for an evening of live music, dancing and fun, including loads of raffle prizes and a live auction.
Irene Lee, the event organiser said, “We did it! What a success. So thankful to all those parents and friends who supported me in this venture over the past 9 months. Collecting funds of £1,750 is a remarkable achievement and for such a worthy cause. Going forward I am confident the organisation will only grow and succeed from this event.” Money raised from the event will go to fund various initiatives, chosen by the PA teachers and agreed upon by PAPA. We would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all our volunteers who came and helped out at the Esher May Fair on Saturday, and to everyone that came to the stall and supported us. We would definitely call it a success for PAPA and the Performing Arts at Esher High. Thanks to your help and support we were able to leave a really fantastic impression on the Community... AND we sold about 115 raffle strips and invited loads of people to the upcoming Fundraising Party Night on Saturday 17 June. The community really appreciated seeing our students perform and we know the students enjoyed it as well. The EHS Elite Dance Company entered the British Red Cross 'Make Your Move' competition at Kings College, London recently. The students 'performed brilliantly' and were awarded the Most Innovative Performance award. They were also commended by the judges for their sensitive and mature performance, which looked at the impact of dementia on the family and those who suffer with the condition.
A group of over 20 students representing Esher High’s Performing Arts are heading over to Esher Green to perform for the crowds this Saturday, 20th May at the Esher May Fair. Come along and see the students performing in 2 locations.
2:35PM Students will be performing in the main arena for about 20 minutes so don’t be late! There will be a range of performances, from music solos to dance ensemble from a dedicated group of passionate students who aim to WOW the audience. 12:00-4:00PM Visit the Performing Arts Parents Association (PAPA) Stall! There, you can also see a showcase of Esher High students performing on a smaller scale for the visitors to the PAPA stall. Please stop by the stall to say ‘Hello’ and buy raffle tickets and tickets to the upcoming fundraiser. Join us in celebrating the range of talent and work of Esher High School students performing in the annual Summer Concert. Our students have been working hard in preparation so expect a diverse range of solo and group music performances. Tickets can be reserved in advance or purchased on the door for £2. Performance will take place in Studio 1 (Performing Arts Block) at Esher High. We look forward to seeing you there!!
