The EHS Elite Dance Company entered the British Red Cross 'Make Your Move' competition at Kings College, London recently. The students 'performed brilliantly' and were awarded the Most Innovative Performance award. They were also commended by the judges for their sensitive and mature performance, which looked at the impact of dementia on the family and those who suffer with the condition.
On Saturday 13th May the Esher High Elite Dance Company will be performing at the Greenwood Theatre in London as part of the British Red Cross 'Dance: Make Your Move' competition. The group has been working hard to put together a dance based on dementia and the work the Red Cross do to support those suffering with the condition.
As part of the rules of entry for the competition the group must raise a minimum of £50 for the British Red Cross. If you would like to donate to the British Red Cross and support the Elite Dance Company please contact Mrs J Richards (firstname.lastname@example.org) or give your donation in a sealed envelope to the Performing Arts office clearly labelled 'Dance Company Red Cross Donation'.
The Elite Dance Company will be performing in the Senior Heats of the competition at the Greenwood Theatre, 55 Weston Street, London, SE1 3RA on Saturday 13 May. The show starts at 6pm. If you would like to come along and show your support for the students, tickets are available on the British Red Cross website.
